Minna Parikka



Was it me or are you obsessed with Minna Parikka shoes too! I remember the first time I was exploring around the shops in Finland, looking for some shoes I came upon Minna Parikka shoes. I was a bit confused back than since I hadn’t seen this kind of a design or name before so it was very odd to me. But I did straight away go for those shoes since they looked fun, unique and well…they resembled me! They looked so cute with the bunny ears!

As the investigator I am, when it comes to shoes, everything stops for me so I decided to investigate more. Who was this Minna Parikka that I didn’t know about? Well, turns out that even Lady Gaga went to her shop to buy her shoes! Like how crazy is that! And I always wondered where her awesome shoes came from! Well I did find one store in London that designed shoes for her but finding another in Finland? Now that is crazy!

So as I also heard the news of my idol buying from her, I was more interested. Minna Parikka brand was founded in 2005 (which I am so glad that it was) and is still here today! It has been through many people like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Cara Delevigne and the Kardhasians!

Minna Parikka is like my soulmate with all the cute bunny designs! I love bunnies! How cute is that! Also Minna Parikka has a very good quote that I stand by:

Salmiakki Ice Cream

Let’s talk about something I really love in general: Ice Cream. Now, I must say that summer has officially come (not to Finland in this case since it was basically raining and snowing a couple of days ago) but, summer is out there. And here we are still wearing coats. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t have ice cream! Ice cream is life. One of the best things about summer is, you can have ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can even make your own ice cream or popsicles. I remember making these lovely strawberry popsicles last summer, they were healthy too! Overall, everyone loves a bit of ice cream. Finnish Is Hard!

Today, I wanted to write about something I have not written in a long time but wanted to write about. Let’s talk about the Finnish language! The first thing I would like to state out is, as knowing English for many years myself, it is very easy for me to be able to predict what other languages mean and to figure out their sentences or words to their meanings. As you understand a language more, you realize that you start to understand other languages too…well that changed now but still.This year, like every other year, my goal was to learn something new which can be information wise or starting something new but this year, I learnt one very major thing : Finnish cannot be predicted.
