Abo Svenska Theater Was Magical!

Today, we visited the Abo Svenska Theater which was amazing! First of all, I just loved the design inside as we went inside and were sitting down at the audience places because looking up to the ceiling, you could see some very amazing artwork and the chandelier was just so beautiful! It was amazing to hear about how old the building was and the balcony of the emperor, how the poor people would sit upstairs and how the stage was smaller. Also sitting there, you could definitely feel the old vibe. These were amazing until we got to get up on stage and looking down from there...that is my dream and I imagined the audience sitting down there and watching me. I also believe that it would look very nice to do ballet there! It was quite interesting to learn that the stage floor could move and to see the ropes for different sets which also showed that it was an old building. I also loved the backstage where the actors would wait and was surprised to learn about the stables. Also the dog that was fired, that was a very funny and sad story!
Another thing that amazed me was the fact that the building was like a maze but it was cool to see the photos while climbing up the stairs and peeking inside some very cool and artistic rooms. I loved the costume room and was very shocked when I learnt that only two people were creating magic! Also it was funny to learn about the costume designer that wasn't so good at telling what she wanted! From there on, it was just amazing to see where the set was created and it was nice to just see the people working in their own environment and giving us space while we were there. When we were there, the elevator story was creepy with the ghosts and also the two eyes gazing in the dark story was creepy but I'd love to visit at dark and do like a ghost hunt tour! Maybe even see the white lady! Who knows?
To finish off out tour we visited the wig and makeup room which was very cute and I love wigs so it was interesting to learn how they were made from real hair and sewed on one by one to the material! That is a lot of work! After that we sat at the actors rest room which was cool and learnt about some accidents on stage but how the actors kept going. I think I would too since I just love acting and being on stage so that adrenaline really keeps you pumped I guess. It was an amazing and very interesting trip, me and my friends will go back to watch a show!
