Finnish Is Hard!

Today, I wanted to write about something I have not written in a long time but wanted to write about. Let’s talk about the Finnish language!
The first thing I would like to state out is, as knowing English for many years myself, it is very easy for me to be able to predict what other languages mean and to figure out their sentences or words to their meanings. As you understand a language more, you realize that you start to understand other languages too…well that changed now but still. This year, like every other year, my goal was to learn something new which can be information wise or starting something new but this year, I learnt one very major thing : Finnish cannot be predicted. You can’t make out any words or sentences in Finnish. In fact, you can’t even remember the words you learnt in Finnish after a couple of minutes! Why is it so hard?
What I have seen is the fact that Finnish has words in words which means, there are separate words, than if you want to say something that makes sense, you have to combine all these different separate words together to create a long word that has a meaning! Which also means that you need to have a good vocabulary to actually say something that makes sense. Let’s also not forget about the hard pronounciations and the dots on the letters making out different sounds and different meanings! So if you forget a dot on a letter, you might mean something else! DANGEROUS!
Another hard thing I have found learning were the number since they are nothing like what the other languages have. Now when you mix all of these things all up, your head is like a jungle trying to learn, repeat and remember what they learned but not succeding in that too! But oh well, I still know two basic things which I believe will get me thorough the day : Moi and Kiitos!
Kiitos for reading!
p.s : I will update with this whole language issue going on!
